Over the last couple of years we have been selling a range of 32mm and 43mm thick stair treads in both Pine and Victorian Ash. During this period we have been getting a number of requests to add American Oak stair treads to our range, and after looking into it we decided that the time was right for us to do so.

As well as getting requests for American Oak, we had also been getting requests for a tread that was thicker than 43mm.

Armed with both of these pieces of info we decided to introduce a range of 66mm thick Victorian Ash stair treads; as well as 43mm and 66mm thick American Oak stair treads.

As you can see in the photos above and below, the end result is a substantial looking stair tread that will be a great addition to any mono-spline staircase.

We have also included a video that shows one of the 66mm American Oak stairs treads being machined to its final size.
