A number of years ago we did a trip to the USA to go and see a trade show that promoted products to the building industry.

A number of stair builders exhibited at this show; and one of the products that caught our attention was the use of large square posts on stairs. These posts were characterised by not being turned, and were also much larger than the 90 x 90mm sizes that were being used here in Australia.

Using the title of Prestige Newel Posts For Stairs, we spent quite a while coming up with our own range of designs and sizes, with one of the final designs featuring in the photos below.
