Over the last decade we purchased not one, but two 5-axis CNC machining centres. Both of these are made by an Italian company, with their main purpose being to produce chair frame components.

We use these machines for a lot of other types of products, many of which are not even related to the furniture industry; but we do also do a number of different chair parts for both a local chair manufacturer and another one interstate.

These parts are made from Victorian Ash and are roughly cut out on a band saw before presenting the piece to the machine to do the final precision cut, as well as create drill holes when required.

After the CNC does its job, we give the piece a light sand and then ship it off to the customer for the piece to be assembled (along with other pieces) into a chair frame that is ready to be polished or upholstered.

If you run a business that has a need for this type of product, then please contact us, as we may be able to save you some time and money by producing some of the parts for you.
