Turning a product round is something that any wood turner can do, but turning a product into an oval shape is a much bigger challenge.

This was the task presented to us by one of our customers. They were looking for someone who could not only make a tapered timber plug, but more specifically one that was oval in shape.

Luckily for them (and us !) we have the machinery that is capable to do this type of work. In fact over the many years that we have been in business, we have done oval shaped balusters, table legs and bed posts.

It is a secret as to what the product is used for, but I am sure that you would agree from the photos below that the end result is quite impressive.
