Where would you normally use handrail brackets ?
To fix a piece of handrail to a wall.
What is the bracket made from ?
316 Stainless Steel in a Satin finish.
This bracket is for EXTERIOR or INTERIOR use.
What are the important dimensions ?
Distance from the wall to the centre of the handrail is 80mm.
The size of the rectangular plate that fixes to the wall is 60x40mm. It can be used in either a horizontal or vertical position.
Spacing between brackets depends a lot on the type of handrail and timber you use; but anywhere from 900 to 1500mm is a good guide.
Do all of the handrails that we sell work with it ?
The plate that the handrail is fixed to has only a shallow curve; which will suit any of our round handrails from 43 to 50mm in diameter.
There is small inset that can be placed on the top of the plate that will allow the bracket to also be used with flat base handrail.
How does it fix to the wall ?
It uses one centre screw (supplied) to fix into timber or into a plastic plug (not supplied) if fixing to brick.
The shaft of the bracket slides over the centre screw and is held in place by a small grub screw that can be tightened with the use of the correct sized Allen key.
