The Adjustable Base Plate in a mirror finish fits into 50.8mm round stainless steel tube. Use on the bottom of a stair post to fix the stainless balustrade post to an angled surface such as an access ramp.

Where would you normally use this stainless steel handrail fitting ?
When needing to create an angled support post from 50.8 round stainless tube, this base plate can be glued inside the bottom of the tube (providing it is 1.6mm wall thickness).

What is it made out of ?
316 grade Stainless Steel in a Mirror finish.

What are the important dimensions ?
This fitting fits into the end of 50.8mm diameter round stainless tube with a wall thickness of 1.6mm
The angle can be set anywhere from 42 to 90 degrees.
The SSF011 Domed Cover will fit over it to conceal the plate. (Needs to be purchased separately).

Can it be used for exterior application ?
As it is 316 grade Stainless Steel, it is more than suitable for use outside.

How do you fix it to the stainless steel tube ?
A suitable glue will do (found on our online shop). Welding is not necessary.

How should you finish it ?
If you are happy with a Mirror finish, then the product does not need to be touched up in any way.
If though you would like a Satin finish, try using our non-woven web pad that will allow you to fairly easily remove the current high polished finish that it has.
