Where would you use a hydraulic PRO wire swager ?
When doing wire cable balustrade using hydraulically swaged fittings, this tool will allow you to flatten the ends of the fittings so that the wire (3.2mm or 4mm) is securely held in place.
It will work on Wire Balustrade Systems 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9 and 10
Please be warned that attempting to use a pair a plyers or something similar is NOT recommended, as the pressure required to flatten the fixings is far greater than can be applied by hand.

Should I use the PRO or MINI hydraulic swager ?
If you have a one-off job and you don't think you are likely to ever use it again, then unless that job is massive (eg : you have to crimp more than 200 fittings), the MINI hydraulic swager should be more than suitable. The shorter arm means that you will need to work a bit harder to crimp the fittings, but it will still do a good enough job to secure the wire on the end of the fitting.
If you are likely to need it on multiple jobs, or the job you are using it for is massive, then the PRO hydraulic swager would be better.

This tool has a maximum output of 8 tonne (the MINI version is 5 tonne); and is supplied in a handy plastic carry case along with a compete set of dies that apart from balustrading can also be used for many other applications.
If using hydraulically swaged fittings for 3.2mm wire, we recommend using the dies marked with a 6.
If using hydraulically swaged fittings for 4.0mm wire, we recommend using the dies marked with a 10.
Extra sets of dies can be purchased if they distort over time.
